What

Stains
in granite occur when the sealer that was applied
to your granite by the manufacturer has worn away.
Since granite is porous, liquids, oils, and other
substances can stain your granite countertop unless it
is properly sealed. This is achieved by applying
a sealer to the stone. The sealer goes into all
the little pores in the granite and solidifies
inside of them hopefully creating an impenetrable
surface. Most sealers are only good for about
